For the last two years we have been saying that district 5-6A was the toughest volleyball district in the state. Which means these district matches are always entertaining. Such was the case last night as Lady Dragon Volleyball worked for a four set victory at home over Flower Mound.

They defeated the visiting Jaguars 25-19, 25-17, 21-25 and 25-17. The four set victory makes the Lady Dragons 31-4 on the year and 6-1 in district play. They kept pace with first place Hebron who won their match to go to a perfect 7-0 through the season’s first half. That means with seven games remaining the Lady Dragons are firmly in 2nd place. They are still one game behind the two time defending state champions with a matchup with the Hawks still remaining, albeit on the road.

Up next the second half begins at home with LD Bell on Senior Night for your Lady Dragons. First serve is at 6:30pm on Tuesday, Oct. 3rd.
