Dragon Baseball won in two very different ways this week, defeating Arlington Heights 15-3 with a season high in runs and then shutting out Weatherford 3-0.
In the second game of a two game Arlington Heights road trip the Dragons offense stayed red hot, scoring 11 runs in the game’s first 3 innings. The offensive explosion began early on an RBI single by Hudson Sanchez and a bases loaded walk. Then an RBI triple by Trevor Harris continued the scoring barrage and Hudson Sanchez followed with a sac fly. Jason Small picked up the win to run his record to 2-0.
Apparently Kole Ramage likes home games. In the Dragon’s home opener against Weatherford, the junior struck out 12 in a complete game shutout and he also homered. The 12 strikeouts are his career high. It is his second victory on the year. He is 2-0 in three appearances. Ross Cadena chipped in an RBI double and Ben Kiefer plated a run on a sac fly.
The team is now 8-4-1 and travels to Dallas Baptist tonight to take on Midlothian at 7:00pm.
