Girls Varsity Soccer · Lady Dragon Soccer shutouts Amarillo 9-0

On the nicest day of the NEPS, Lady Dragon Soccer got the scoring underway early and often as they steamrolled Amarillo, 9-0. It was their second 9-0 victory of the NEPS and the 3-0 Lady Dragons outscored their opponents 22-1 over the three games.

Today’s cavalcade of goals was started by Taylor Tufts, her first of four on the day. Yes, that Quad-Trick thing again!! The Lady Dragons are going to force that word into the dictionary. Georgie Phelps would register the first of many helpers for goal #2. ThenTufts was back with her second goal on the day and goal #3. Freshman Libby McTaggart registered her first Varsity goal to give the squad a 4-0 lead. Tara Sumer would register both goals 5 and 6 back to back with one before and one just after half time. Then Taylor Tufts was back with goals 7 and 8 and numbers 3 and 4 for her on  the day. And lastly Senior defender Cheyann Andrews registered her first career Varsity goal and the game’s final tally.

The Number 11 ranked Lady Dragons, according to TopDrawerSoccer.com are off until next Thursday, Jan. 11th when they travel to Georgetown for the Governor’s Cup. First match is against The Woodlands on noon at Birkelbach Stadium in Georgetown.
