Dragon Soccer shuts out Lewisville

When you start your district season in an 0-2 hole, you know you are going to have to spend the rest of the season fighting for every win. Fighting for a win is what Dragon Soccer did tonight and now their district season is back to neutral and 2-2 in 5-6A and 7-3-2 overall.

Thanks to their 3-0 shutout victory over Lewisville tonight at home, the Dragons got the game started correctly with an opening goal by Mario Letayf before halftime. After the break the Dragons began pressing their advantage with a goal by Michael Parrish and an assist by Preston Myers. Since Parrish got his name on the goal sheet he decided it was only fair to help a teammate get on the sheet as well. He assisted Juan Ramirez for tonight’s final goal and a nice 3-0 result.

Up next the Dragons face a critical home tilt – but they are all critical from this point. They host the Red Army of Flower Mound Marcus on Tuesday, Feb. 6th at 7:30pm at Dragon Stadium. Note: The Red Army is what Marcus calls their legion of Soccer supporters.
